Curriculum and Classroom Activity Plans

Teachers, here are some resources for using Belvedere in your classroom.

Science Challenge Problems

Web-based problems that challenge students with unsolved (or recently solved) problems in science and public health. Use Belvedere to record alternate hypotheses and the evidence for these hypotheses.

Using Belvedere in Your Classroom

Suggestions for organizing Belvedere science challenge activities in your classroom. Includes assessment rubrics and an essay question.

These resources were developed in collaboration with Arlene Weiner and Eva Toth while Dan Suthers was at the University of Pittsburgh. We plan to work with Hawai`i educators to develop locally-based versions.
