2005

AIED 2005 - Artificial Intelligence in Education, Amsterdam, July 18-22, 2005. Dan Suthers is on the Program Committee

CSCL 2005 - Computer Supported Collaborative Learning, Taipei, May 30-June 4, 2005. Dan Suthers is program co-chair with Tim Koschmann, and is working closely with the local organizers as well.

HICSS 2005 - The 38th Hawai`i International Conference on the System Sciences, Hilton Waikoloa Village, January 3-6, 2005. Astrid Tomsic's paper was nominated for best paper. Dan Suthers also had a paper.

ICCE 2005 - International Conference on Computers in Education, Singapore, November 28-December 2, 2005. Dan Suthers is on the program committee.


2004

AERA 2004 -American Educational Research Association, San Diego, April 2004. Suthers organized a panel on representational affordances for collaboration. AERA screwed up and left it off the program!

ICCE 2004 - International Conference on Computers in Education, Melbourne. Suthers has a paper.

HICSS-37: The 37th Hawai`i International Conference on the System Sciences. Sawatpanit, Suthers and Fleming presented a paper on BRIX.

ICLS 2004 International Conference of the Learning Sciences, Santa Monica.

The HNLC team lead by Harada and Suthers have a paper on technology in systemic reform. Suthers is on a panel on methods for analyzing collaboration.


2003

AI-ED 2003: Artificial Intelligence in Education, Sydney, July 20-24. Suthers gave an invited talk.

CSCL 2003: Computer Supported Collaborative Learning, Bergen Norway, June 14-18. Suthers was Interactive Events Chair and a member of the organizing committee. He also gave a paper presentation for a paper with Girardeau and Hundhausen, ran a workshop, was on a panel, and was a discussant for an invited talk by Masanori Signori. Whew!

EdMedia 2003: World Conference on Educational Multimedia, Hypermedia & Telecommunications, Honolulu, June 23-28. Suthers gave an invited talk, and was a co-author with Sawatpanit and Fleming on a BRIX paper.

HICSS-36: The 36th Hawai`i International Conference on the System Sciences. Suthers had two papers.

ICCE 2003: International Conference on Computers in Education, Hong Kong, December 2-5. Suthers is co-chair of the program committee.


2002

AERA 2002 -American Educational Research Association, New Orleans, April 2002. Suthers chaired a symposium, had two presentations, and helped facilitate a workshop. Hundhausen also had a presentation.

Costing and Financing Instructional Technologies in Higher Education. Suthers attended as a UH representative at the administration's request.

CSCL 2002 - Computer Supported Collaborative Learning, Boulder, January 2002. Suthers was Interactive Events Chair and was involved in several of these events. Suthers and Hundhausen presented a long paper.

ICCE 2002: International Conference on Computers in Education, Auckland. Suthers presented a paper prepared with Hundhausen and Girardeau. Takeda and Suthers also had a paper.

NSF REC Principal Investigator's Meeting: Suthers attended as a CAREER grantee.


2001

AERA 2001 -American Educational Research Association, Seattle, April 2001. Suthers presented a paper.

AI&ED 2001 - Artificial Intelligence and Education, San Antonio, May 2001. Suthers was Workshop Program Chair and a co-author on a paper with Constantino.

Euro-CSCL 2001 - European Computer Supported Collaborative Learning, Maastricht, March 2001. Suthers and colleagues presented two papers.
