Student Projects in LILT

Students are an integral part of the research, software development and community outreach efforts of LILT. There are many projects opportunities at the lab for ambitious students. (You must be enrolled at the University of Hawai`i in a relevant degree program (e.g., ICS, CIS, ETEC) to undertake one of these projects.)

Why do it? You'll fulfill graduation requirements, stand out from the crowd when looking for a job, and gain valuable experience.

Available projects describes some suggested projects that LILT researchers would like to supervise. We will also consider other ideas that match LILT's research themes.

In Progress projects will give you a feel for what kinds of projects have been approved. Some of these current student projects will need to be continued next semester. You may also want to talk to the students doing these projects.

We require that students write a report and prepare a poster on their project. You can read these reports under Completed projects.

If you decide to join us, follow these guidlines for requesting a project.
