Hourly Project Assistant

Status: Filled (not available)

LILT needs a project assistant to work an average of two hours a day (times flexible). Duties will include activities such as the following:

  • Organizing LILT project files.
  • Copying and mailing papers to other researchers.
  • Filling out forms related to purchases and project management.
  • Maintain database of external contacts (teachers, researchers).
  • Help prepare LILT promotional materials.
  • Perform basic maintenance on the LILT web site (training provided).

Minimum qualifications:

  • Ability to understand and follow basic oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with LILT directors and project members.
  • Familiarity with basic computer tools such as email and a word processor.

Desired qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn to use new software tools such as spreadsheets and web page editors.
  • Prior experience on similar work.

Workload is 10 hours a week. Compensation begins at A-2 ($6.05/hour), and may be increased as responsibility increases. You will also have an opportunity to learn about various current technologies.
