Opportunities to Collaborate

Teachers are especially encouraged to work with us to develop strategies for computer-supported collaborative learning. We can provide you with the Belvedere software and supporting materials for use in your classrooms. Our Collaborative Representations project has funds to pay teacher consultants who help us develop the next generation of software for online collaborative learning. (In the future we hope to be certified to offer professional development credits: stay in touch!) Teachers should contact Dan Suthers for these collaborations.

Researchers who are interested in artificial intelligence, cognitive science or human-computer interaction along with educational applications are encouraged to propose collaborative ventures. For example, if you develop software with complementary functionality we might integrate our software systems; or if you are an experimentalist or an educational researcher looking for software to support your research, you might use our software in experimental studies or classroom-based research. These are not hypothetical examples: all three come from our prior collaborations with others! Peruse our site to determine the best way to match your work to ours, and then contact the directors with your ideas.

Industry partnerships are always welcome. Please contact us if you are interested in partnerships for educational and training applications, or seek advice on designing usable software for your own applications.
