LILT Co-Hosts HNLC School Team Meeting, Tests Software

LILT is a major partner in Hawai`i Networked Learning Communities, a technology-supported Rural Systemic Initiative targeted at improving science, math and technology education in Hawaii's rural schools. On May 10th 2002 we co-hosted a meeting of school team leaders witih DOE's Advanced Technology Research. During the meeting we previewed HNLC's new web site, and used our Kukakuka software to support parts of the meeting process. User involvement in software development is an important part of our strategy for making the technololgy relevant to their needs.

Left to right in the foreground are LILT team members Laura Girardeau, Viil Lid, and Joyce Yukawa (sitting) and ATR staff Claudia Atta (standing). School team leaders in the background are using Kukakuka on ATR's wireless network to comment on our plans for a three day Summer Institute in June.
