or news that cannot be conveyed within the online learning environment
(disCourse) itself, either because you have not gotten an account
yet or because disCourse is down.
This Week
See disCourse for this week's news. I won't post news here unless
I think you can't access disCourse (as happened on the morning
of 1/29 when the power went out).
January 15th, 2005
Assignment 1 has been posted and is due Wednesday 1/19.
An email list has been set up (ics-667-spring-2005) and will
be used for short-term notifications only. Most communications
will take place in disCourse. You should also access disCourse
and request an account at

Status Update, December 2004
All of our online interaction will be conducted in an environment
under development in ICS. We are currently
preparing this environment. I'll let you know when you have
an account.
