Belvedere was conceived by Alan Lesgold and developed by the Advanced Cognitive Tools for
Learning group at the Learning Research and Development Center, University of Pittsburgh; initially
under the direction of Dr. Lesgold, and subsequently under the direction of Daniel Suthers,
with Eva Toth and
Arlene Weiner as co-directors. Many others (listed below) helped over the
years.
